In excess of 30 middle age castles still stand in the southeast district of England as reminders of the days when The united kingdom was a country partioned by ruling families who crafted powerful fortresses to safeguard their lands from invaders, both international and local. Current castle excursions make it easy for tourists to obtain a sense of how vital these superbly protected complexes are to the rich history and traditions of Great britain. Exploring the the royal collections of noteworthy aristocrats such as Mary Queen of Scots during guided trips of the Arundel Castle in West Sussex present visitors a sense of the splendour and style that surrounded the British aristocracy in medieval days. The professional guides tell tales that bring the past alive as they recount famed battles and tales that are around this fascinating castle. At the majestic Guildford Castle, visitors can safely go up to high on top of the Great Tower to see the wide ranging view that was utilised by the castle’s defenders to see nearing opposing soldiers. Within are showcases that let visitors study designs of the castle as it was formerly built in the 1300s. Informative videos reveal the part that Guildford Castle played out in British background. Whenever the magnificent Herstmonceux castle comes into sight, tourists are impressed by the moat that stresses how solid defenses were required to dissuade invaders when this castle was constructed in the turbulent times of 15th century England. Even though once in ruins, the castle has been wonderfully restored and is now residence of the Queen’s Bader Institute. Around the castle beside the moat are public grounds that reflect the Elizabethan age when lands were sophisticated play areas for the aristocracy. Right after the winding forest paths that steer to woodland sculptures that are displayed in the Shakesphere garden, Rose Garden and the Herb Garden present tourists an idea of how the romance of courtliness was once performed in the middle of these stunning settings. High upon the famous white cliffs of Kent, the Dover Castle’s breath-taking sights over the English channel make it apparent why this historic site has been put to use for centuries to guard the south eastern shores of Britain. Dover Castle was constructed by William the Conqueror in 1066 after his success at the Battle of Hastings, yet there are damages around the castle that date back much further, and proof of improvements through the years. Seeing the many editions of this strategic site, which includes a hall once referred to as Arthur’s Hall, gives current tourists a taste of Britain’s rich history. When you come into Hever Castle, the childhood residence of Anne Boylen, the homely feeling is quite distinct from other southeastern English castles. The displays of individual items and copies of the dresses worn by the six wives of Henry the VIII demonstrates the opulence of 16th century Tudor lifestyle. But the group of weapons, armour and devices of torture and execution in the Council Chamber speak of a much darker side of life full of high intrigue and real risk that lurked in the medieval courts. Find out more info about some of the numerous Castles in England

Kennedy on November 22, 1963. He vowed continuity of Kennedy’s policies. Thus did Lyndon Johnson ensure the passage of some Kennedy-envisioned legislation, like a wide-reaching civil rights bill. An adept politician, he had many congressional supporters due to his penchant for bipartisan politics. Early into the presidency, the bill on civil rights passed through the House of Representatives. The bill debarred racial discrimination at work and other public accommodations. Under his tenure, the Senate passed a tax cut mandating the government to receive $11 billion less revenue. Lyndon Johnson was also known for his “war on poverty.” He even originated the social security program known as Medicare. In 1964, he won the presidential elections by one of the biggest margins in US history. Having secured the people’s mandate, he set out to bring about “The Great Society.” Lyndon Johnson conceived it as “a place where the meaning of man’s life matches the marvels of man’s labor.” Specifically, The Great Society presented several ambitious proposals before legislators, including disease eradication, crime reduction, and so forth. Legislators signed some of them into law. One of Johnson’s successful legislations was a federal aid that set aside over a billion dollars for schools. It was the first of its kind in education. Lyndon Johnson also realized The Great Society through the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which guaranteed the registration of more minority voters. In 1966, another Great Society law upheld urban renewal for economically depressed locales. To an extent, Lyndon Johnson also repaired relations with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). Lyndon Johnson is also credited for advocating several momentous space expeditions.
